Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9- by 13-inch baking dish.

In a large pot of salted water, cook the elbow macaroni until it is 4 minutes from being cooked through. Drain and add in the butter and cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Toss until the butter is melted and all are combined. Place in the prepared baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Pour the mixture over the pasta and stir well. Sprinkle with the paprika.

Bake, uncovered, until the top is brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Serve immediately.

I made her mac 'n cheese as written above; not enough liquid and the top layer of macaroni dried out as it baked. Also just wasn't as creamy as I like it to be. HATE tough macaroni. Will definitely try this again with adjustments listed below. This has a great flavor. But really . . who DOESN'T like macaroni and cheese??

This is the best! However, I'm glad I wrote the recipe during the show. The above is wrong. Millie uses 4 eggs and 4 C of milk whisked together to pour into the pasta. It would be too dry the way the viewer wrote it. I made it today and it is so very good!
