Wonderful combination of flavors! Tip: don't pour the extra candying mixture over the pecans on the baking sheet, they will be hard to break up after. Also, I substituted regular balsamic vinegar since it was what I had on hand.

What a charming host and what a great little salad with just a few basic ingredients. This salad is a favorite for young and old alike in my family, a rare thing we all agree on! The most time consuming thing is the pecans but they are well worth the little bit of prep and 30 minutes cooking time they require - you will not regret it! Go Nadia!

This is so good. I don't know why I haven't made it before now. I didn't have pecans and mesclun greens on hand at the time so I used walnuts and other greens instead. It was still delish. The dressing was also very good. I will be making this a lot more often.
Nadia, keep up the good work. You have kept me and my fiance in stitches show after show. We won't miss an episode and often watch reruns just for the laughs.
