YUM! Loved this. I really enjoyed the flavor add-ons from the lemon and mint. I didn't make any adjustments to the recipe and thought it was perfect! I'd like to maybe try this with some shredded chicken or ground turkey next time. Overall: hearty, filling and delicious!! And love the show :

I tried this recipe out the other day, except I used a jalapeno pepper instead of a red chile (the market did not have any and I used one 28 oz. San Marzano can of tomatoes instead of two, as previous users suggested. The result was not bad...it made a lot, enough for me and my boyfriend to come back for seconds and for me to pack for lunch the next day. My only qualm was that it seemed to be missing "something"...the tomatoes needed more flavor. I'll try this recipe again, but I'll add dried rosemary, thyme, or oregano to the tomatoes.

I loved this recipe. It brought back great memories in flavor of my years in Spain. I served it with couscous and it rocked! I thought of a million ways to play with this and use it in a lot of other ways. It was easy and forgiving, so even the novice cook would experience success with this dish.. Bravo Nadia!

I liked this recipe a lot if you're looking for a meatless chili recipe. I'm even eating the leftovers for breakfast right now as I write this. I did change the amount of tomatoes (1 -28 can of tomatoes instead of 2 cans per the suggestion from the reviewer below and I agree I think that one can was plenty. I also cut down on the oil by a tablespoon. Basically it tastes like a chili and instead of meat or black beans it has chick peas which is one of my new favorites. I'm a meat eater and I didn't miss the meat in this recipe. Toasted whole wheat pita's on the side are perfect with this.

Chick peas are my favorite legume so I was excited to try this recipe which looked very healthy & tasty. I thought the amount of tomatoes was excessive & overpowered the flavor of the chickpeas. I think using a small can of tomatoes (15-16 oz would be more than enough. But that being said I really didn't care for the tomato flavor in this dish. I really enjoy Nadia G's show! I'd like to try some of her other recipes even if this one didnt work for me.
