Directions

To make the fritters: Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl and mix. Add the bananas, peanut butter, milk, and egg and whisk until the consistency is such that it can be balled up in a spoon. In a medium sauce pan, heat the peanut oil to 375 degrees F. Using a teaspoon, delicately spoon the peanut-butter-banana batter into the oil, a few balls at a time and deep fry until they fluff up and become crispy and golden brown, about 5 minutes. Strain on wire rack.

To make the chocolate sauce: In a pot, bring a cup of water to a simmer. Add a large metal bowl over top of the pot. In the metal bowl, add the chocolate chunks and whipping cream, then whisk until it melts together.

Generously drizzle the chocolate sauce over the fritters and serve.

This recipe made like 50 million fritters- a total mess to make and I wasn't that impressed with the flavor. However, the sauce was super awesome.

5-star rating b/c these were phenomenal!!

After combining the dry ingredients, I moved on the the wet. I mashed the bananas first, then thoroughly combined with the peanut butter, then the egg, then the rest of the ingredients before mixing with the dry ingredients.

My first batch in the fryer were a little too big and I didn't allow them to cook long enough so they were a little under cooked in the center. I made the next batch smaller and allowed them to brown a little more, so they were perfect. My husband doesn't have a crazy sweet tooth like I do and I couldn't get him to stop eating these!

I didn't make the chocolate sauce, but opted for nutella instead. OMG so good!
