The spicy jam is the perfect surprise in these. They flew off the cookie plate at my party.

A slightly spicy twist on a traditional cookie that was liked by all.

my first christmas of baking a variety of cookies, and holiday sweets.
these were my husbands favorite. a little time consuming but compliments were well worth the effort. I used specialty jams & preserves and left out the cayenne. You have to watch the time, the longer they cool the better they set up. I will definitely bake these again.

These little gems were so time consuming and a real chore to put together. My first batch were in the oven for 15 minutes and were too dark. I gave the next batch a 13 minute try and they were a little better. Just too much work for so few cookies. They were tasty but not what I expected.
