I followed this recipe to the "T". Sorry but on a scale of 1-10, I rate this 2. I'm a kid at heart even tho' I'm 62 years old, I like a chocolate cake that a kid would like. This recipe in my opinion appeals to adults. It made two small layers due to the fact of so little flour used in this recipe. The bittersweet chocolate used in the frosting was, well...too bittersweet! I guess I will still keep looking for a chocolate cake that appeals to the "kid" in me.

This is a cake I will have a relationship with for years to come. It's easy! I wondered about the frosting but it turned out just as described. (Besides, who doesn't love a direction that says ...."whisking now and again - when you're passing the pan - ....." I want you to know that I am a serious dark chocolate lover and if that's a cake, even better. This is THE one.
p.s. Recently found cooking channel. Got a bit tired of all the contests now on Food Network. Nigella, love you!
