Ingredients

  • 1 pint local craft beer, such as 8th Wonder Brewery beer
  • 8 ounces easy melt yellow cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • One 6-ounce rib eye steak
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 ounce onions, thinly sliced
  • Oil, for sauteing
  • 1 freshly-baked baguette

Directions

In a double boiler, combine the beer, cheese and cream and cook until melted together.

Thinly slice the rib eye and season with salt and pepper. Heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat and sear the steak to medium-rare.

Saute the onions with some oil in a skillet over medium heat until cooked. Toast the baguette.

Place the steak in the baguette, pour the melted beer cheese over the meat and top with the sauteed onions. Enjoy!
