Candace Cameron Bure's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cherry Cookies

Candace loves this cookie. She says: "My BFF, Dilini, and I LOVE sweets and will go out of our way to find the good ones. Every time I'm in Napa, I have to get a chocolate cherry scone from Bouchon Bakery and bring one back for her. One night in, we intended to bake traditional oatmeal raisin cookies, but I was craving chocolate. She had just bought dried cherries, so we decided to make a cookie version of our favorite scone. Score! I absolutely love texture in my food, so the whole-wheat flour and oatmeal along with the chocolate chips and cherries becomes a party to taste buds. Sometimes we'll even add flax seed for more texture. And, of course, being the mom that I am, I always make enough cookies and put them in my kids' school lunches the next day."

Tamala Jones' Chocolate Chip, Pecan and Toffee Cookies

Tamala recalls her first cooking experience: "It all started when I almost burned down the kitchen making fries. I turned the grease on, then left the kitchen to watch television. The next thing I know, the smoke detector was going crazy and there were flames. Surprisingly, my grandmother was not upset at all. She explained that only when you're a pro can you leave the kitchen while cooking. Grandma decided to teach me some basics in food, and before I knew it, I was baking cookies and they were goooood! This recipe is the first thing I learned how to prepare. Enjoy!"

Michelle Branch

Michelle Branch was 18 years old when her debut album, 2001's The Spirit Room, became a platinum seller. Following the release of her darker, more ambitious 2003 platinum album, Hotel Paper, and the birth of her daughter in 2005, she put her solo career on hold to team up with Nashville singer-songwriter Jessica Harp to form the country music duo The Wreckers. The pair decided to part ways just as their music was rising on the charts — an emotionally difficult time that Michelle documented on her deeply personal EP, Everything Comes and Goes. She is currently in the studio working on her next album. Click to the next slide for the recipe.

Michelle Branch's Spiced Mexican Wedding Cookies

Michelle's cookies bring back memories: "Every Christmas my mom, my sister, Nicole, and I would make cookies for our Christmas cookie exchange. This one was always a favorite. As children, my sister and I had the perfect little hands to roll these quickly into balls. Don't wear black and try to sneak a bite of these, as they leave substantial evidence, aka powdered sugar everywhere!"
