    nice recipe. However, I rarely have time now to do a recipe like this, so what I do is use a yellow cake mix, and add my own stuff, but very definitely add marachino cherries to the pineapples hole, and it makes it look festive.
    Been baking with cake mixes as I look at real from scratch recipes to add special ingredients, and it works for me.
