Watched Mo and Cookie make this, and it looks like a WINNER. Can't wait to try it with the plums, but I'm going to use this recipe with ripe peaches, apricots, and nectarines. Thank you MO and COOKIE!

I've had similar desserts while living in Munich, Germany, so I wanted to try Oma's recipe. The only changes that I made was that I used 1 cup sugar and just 3 black plums with a touch of brown sugar sprinkled on top.

It was delicious! Not too sweet or tart. The crust is cake-like and crispy --the spiraled plum slices made a beautiful presentation! It would make a perfect breakfast coffee-cake too.
