I grew up savoring Taylor Pork Roll in Maryland since the 50's. Still buy it today in Little Rock. Just brown it up gently. I serve it like bacon for breakfast. It's really very good.

I've been eating Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a hard roll for breakfast for as long as I can remember. Its the best breakfast, lunch or dinner sandwich ever invented..I give it more stars than there are in the sky....

Taylor pork roll tastes NOTHING like spam!!!! It is one of the world's most delicious foods ever. Unfortunately, I live in Michigan and absolutely none of that good stuff can be found here. My father grew up in Philly, so I know all about it. I've made this sandwich for myself when I've been lucky enough when family sends it to me. Pork roll is great just warmed up and put on a hamburger bun, no condiments needed. Oh man, when we were kids and the Atlantic City boardwalk was still a boardwalk with shops and eateries, we used to go and have Taylor pork roll sandwiches and Birch Beer!!! What a great memory.

I am upset with the fact that cooking channel has called pork roll a "SPAM-like breakfast meat!" That sounds really off-putting. It is MUCH more like canadian bacon! This is a classic sandwich in the NJ/Philly area and is delicious! Try pork roll, and you will find that it is NOT like spam!
