    I was really surprised to see that the only liquid in this recipe was 2 eggs. The "batter" was more like cookie dough and the cupcakes turned out more like cupcookies because they were so dense and stout, and hardly rose at all. I'm an avid baker and made these for Christmas. Because they looked so strange, I had my sister and my boyfriend try them before taking them out to the table. After taking a bite, they both told me not to serve them. I'm only writing this to warn the next person who looks at this recipe. I'm sorry to say these really were terrible. And I checked and double-checked my ingredients and measurements. Do not make these unless a bland lemon sugar cookie called a cupcake sounds good to you.
