In a large bowl, cream the 7 tablespoons butter and peanut butter together until very soft. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and beat until combined. Add the flour, baking powder, and the chopped chocolate, and mix to form a dough.
Spread the dough in the prepared pan, and bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and almost firm in the center.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan, before removing and cutting into squares.

This recipe was tricky at the goal line. I 86th the parchment paper and just put it in an 8x8 greased glass dish. When it was finished it wasn;t the consistency that i wanted (tougher than a brownie-as a blondie should be. But it happened the longer it sat out and cooled down. If you take it right out of the pan after baking it will def crumble. The recipe was fairly easy and once they came together they were pretty amazing. Not a huge fan of peanut butter but this recipe is def a keeper. will def make it again.

These were absolutely delicious and so incredibly easy to make. Have made them several times. Tried adding just a drop of almond extract and they were yummy!

These blondies are incredible. If you like peanut butter and white chocolate, you will love this recipe. I really enjoy Rachel Allen's show, and record all the episodes. It has taken me this long to try one of her recipes, because I'm used to measuring in cups rather than ounces, but converting turned out to be pretty easy.
