Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract  
  • 12 ounces milk chocolate, chopped  
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped  
For Dipping:
  • Strawberries, pineapple cubes, sliced bananas, marshmallows, cubes of angel food cake
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving with a fondue drizzle, optional

Special equipment: a fondue pot

In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the heavy cream, butter and salt. Once the butter has melted, add the vanilla and chocolate; stir until smooth.

Pour into a fondue pot set over a low flame. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping items or drizzle over ice cream if desired.
