Smoked Whitefish Pate

ingredients

  • 4 pounds smoked whole whitefish, deboned and flaked
  • 1 to 2 cups sweet pickle relish
  • 1 cup chopped green onion tops
  • 4 to 5 good dashes hot sauce, such as Louisiana Hot Sauce
  • 2 medium Vidalia onions, finely diced
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salad dressing or mayonaise, for holding pate together
  • Crackers, for serving, optional
  • Cucumber slices, for serving, optional

Directions

Mix together the whitefish, pickle relish, hot sauce, onions and lemon juice. Toss in salad dressing until fully incorporated. Serve with crackers and cucumbers if desired.
