Put the tea bags in a heatproof container and pour in the boiling water. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Discard the tea bags. Add the sugar while the tea is still warm and stir to dissolve the sugar. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Fill tall glasses with ice and pour in the tea. Garnish with lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
