If you blend in a little instant mashed potatoes with the beans you get a thicker soup with added flavor. This is a very simple very good soup.

This soup was very good. I loved that it was so creamy with so little cream added. My modifications included adding 5 sage leaves, because I find that herb very mild as it is. It was a good choice. My husband said that he wished there were more beans. I added two cans, but pureed one, so i think maybe 3 would be better for something a little more hearty. Thanks Giada.
