Seven teams made up of a cake artist, sugar sculptor, and master food carver go to battle to create mind-blowing Christmas fantasy creations. In the first round, they must create their take on the character Olaf from the hit movie Frozen. Then, in round two, each team will create their own humongous, edible display of the ultimate Christmas lights. At the end of the battle, one team will be eliminated with help from special guest judge and co-director of Frozen, Chris Buck.
The six remaining teams return to battle, and first they tackle the iconic tradition of ugly Christmas sweaters. Then, they'll be challenged dream up a display that shows us who's coming down the chimney when Santa takes a sick day! Special guest judges and co-CEOs of Elf on the Shelf, Chanda Bell and Christa Pitts, will help determine which team should be eliminated.
Five remaining teams of food artists continue to battle, and first, they must show the imaginative toys that Santa's elves come up with when left unsupervised. Then, they'll be challenged to make a delicious food display of Santa's new ride -- what magical creation he'll use to deliver presents if his sleigh breaks down! Author and holiday expert Joy Cho lends her expertise as guest judge to decide which team will be leaving the competition.
Four remaining teams return to battle, and in round one, they'll be challenged to take Christmas intergalactic and show us what happens when Santa's in space. Then, they must bring world-famous Christmas songs like "Deck the Halls" and "Jingle Bells" to life in a huge edible creation. At the end, one more team will be eliminated with help from special guest judge, actor Devin Ratray, who played Buzz in Home Alone.
It's down to the final three teams, and they must prove their talents in challenges celebrating the 50th anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas. First, the teams must deck out Snoopy's dog house for the holidays, then they'll be tasked to create the ultimate Peanuts holiday party. One team will be eliminated with help from special guest judge Lindsey Schulz, artist and granddaughter of Peanuts creator Charles M. Schulz.
It's all come down to this epic final battle as the last two teams give it their all, starting with amazing, edible snow globes. In the second round, they'll be challenged to create the ultimate gingerbread house, and when the gingerbread dust settles, only one team will jingle all the way home with $50,000. Actress Monica Potter serves as a special guest judge to help determine the winner.
