Rachael's Vacation: Provence

Join Rachael as she explores the cuisine, culture and history of southern France. She starts her vacation in Provence at the Aix Farmers' Market, which is known throughout the world for its amazing array of fresh produce and regional products. She samples some locally made tapenade, and checks out an assortment of delicious artisanal cheese. Next up is a stop at Le Clos de la Violette, a beautiful restaurant located in the residential part of Aix. Rachael enjoys a crisp glass of wine and a light lunch in the courtyard. With her appetite quenched, she heads over to the ancient city of Arles to check out its historic ruins. After she has a little shopping under her belt at Ici et La, which specializes in locally made soaps and lotions, she travels outside the city limits for a dinner at La Chassagnette. At this picturesque countryside restaurant, Rachael samples some deliciously fresh produce, grown right on the premises.
