Pix Potluck: Fresh Fruit for Breakfast
By:
Frank Samperi
Fruit is the ideal breakfast ingredient, especially during summer when you're craving something light. Pair it up with a protein and you have a complete meal.
Alex Lopez shared this pic of golden raspberries growing wild in her garden, "great with honey, yogurt and almonds" — yum! My morning staple is almost identical, except I use fresh blueberries.
Or sometimes I'll slice up an apple and smear each wedge with natural peanut butter. I won't be hungry again until lunch!
When it's a little cooler out, I love to put fresh fruit with walnuts or pecans in a spiced oatmeal. It almost tastes like eating dessert.
