An Indian Picnic for Indian Summer

By: Sara Levine
Labor Day has come and gone, and crisp fall weather’s right around the corner. Summer barbecues are winding down, but it's too soon for quintessential fall foods like squash and pumpkin. So what’s on the menu for Indian Summer?

Bal Arneson is sneaking in in one last outdoor picnic. Today on Spice Goddess, she puts together an Indian picnic spread with spiced-up dishes like Sirloin Skewers with Roasted Potatoes and Rice Pudding.

Check out these beauties and more of Bal’s recipes in our Indian Summer Gallery.

Any of them would make a lovely and flavorful segue to fall.  Catch Bal’s Indian Picnic today on Cooking Channel at 11am/10c.
