Breakfast Gets a Makeover

Break out of the "cereal for breakfast" rut. Start the day strong with a healthy breakfast, and it’s sure to set the tone for any and everything you may tackle throughout the day. Eating things like eggs, fruit, granola and whole wheat keeps your stomach full longer while revving your metabolism for the day ahead.

Start by making Bobby Deen’s Blueberry-Almond Griddle Cakes (pictured above) with whole-wheat flower and antioxidant rich blueberries. Finish with a dribble of maple syrup and some sliced toasted almonds.

Muffins don’t have to be jam-packed with calories. Try Ellie’s Apple Muffins with pecans, applesauce and cinnamon. At only 200 calories per muffin you can’t go wrong.

Making granola at home is easier than you might think. Bobby’s Homemade Mango-Agave Granola with Greek Yogurt is a mix of sunflower, pumpkin and flax seeds with agave syrup and slivered almonds. Just mix together and bake for morning perfection.
