Who doesn't love celebrating their birthday? In the States we're used to cake, but did you know that in Nepal they celebrate with a little rice and yogurt that they smear on your forehead for good luck? In Honduras they still eat cake, but a birthday celebration would not be complete without arroz con pollo (pictured above) on the table. Aarti Sequeira unwraps the most popular number one dishes from around the world on Cooking Channel's new series Taste in Translation, premiering tonight at 9pm ET. Not only will you discover the most popular birthday dish in five very different places around the world, but the show also will reveal the top international comfort foods, date night dishes and more every Friday night at 9pm/8c.
Tune in to Taste in Translation on Fridays at 9pm ET on Cooking Channel.
