Starbucks Opens Shop Aboard Navy Warship

People often say there is a Starbucks on just about every street corner. All told, there are more than 20,000 franchise locations worldwide. The one thing they all have in common? They don’t float around the world atop a mighty warship. However, one location now does.

That’s right. Starbucks recently opened a branch aboard a Navy warship. The USS Boxer is the lucky, caffeinated ship. This warship, now floating off the coast of California, opened the shop on February 9th. Don’t worry. All profits go toward the ship’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation fund and the shop is staffed by crew members.

This ‘Starboxer’ features the same familiar menu we’ve become accustomed to and crew members seem excited about it, calling it a “little bit of home.” Now how about putting one of these bad boys in space. Martians need coffee, too.
