KFC Japan Kids' Meals Includes Functional Ice Cream Maker

What does a kids' meal get you these days? A cheap piece of plastic shaped like one of those Despicable Me minions!? What if I told you that across the sea, in the magical land of Japan, you can get an actual kitchen tool with your kids' meal? It's true!

KFC Japan has begun giving away anime-branded ice cream makers as part of a recent promotion. These hand-powered gadgets are the perfect way for kids to burn off the sugar high of devouring fried chicken, mashed potatoes and whatever KFC's version of a milkshake is. Sure, they are plastic and plastered with garish stickers like the toys in our meals, but they are useful!

The ice cream makers are available in three different designs but, sadly, do not actually come with ice cream ingredients.
