Pittsburgh's Conflict Kitchen is a transforming restaurant that highlights various skirmishes the United States is involved in. At any given time, the menu and decor reflects one nation we are in conflict with. The source cuisine changes every six months, with Cuban grub being focused on at the moment. Past iterations have included food from Venezuela, Afghanistan and Iran.

This idea is not as kitschy or callous as it sounds. Each version of the restaurant seeks to address a variety of concerns plaguing the host nation, offering lectures and interviews on topics such as Afghanistan's treatment of women to the lasting traditions of Iranian poetry.
