KFC Japan Launches Line of Chicken-Flavored Rice Balls

Sometimes the world's biggest fast food chains barely change their menus to accommodate the tastes of various countries. Sometimes, however, they go all-in on the whole "when in Rome" thing. KFC, who you may remember from back when they had an actual name, are one such chain. Their latest Japan-only creation proves it.

The Japanese contingent of the popular chicken chain has just launched chicken-flavored rice balls. Based on onigiri, a popular Japanese snack, the balls consist of white rice and chicken stock. I can't help but be disappointed that they aren't deep fried, however.
