Celebrate Thanksgivukkah in Style With This Crazy Hot Dog
In our humble opinion, Thanksgiving is superior to any other day of the year. In an effort to make this year's feast the best of all time (sorry, Pilgrims and Wampanoag tribe), we're bringing you the recipes, how-tos and decorating ideas to help you become a Turkey Day pro.
This year, Thanksgiving and the first day of Hanukkah occur on the same day. The Internet has dubbed this new holiday Thanksgivukkah and it isn't scheduled to happen again for another 70,000 years give or take a few months or so. How can we properly celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity? Well, you could always try a themed hot dog.
Los Angeles hot dog chain Dog Haus has just unveiled their Thanksgivukkah Dog. The frank itself is made of turkey and comes stuffed with whiskey-soaked cranberries, sage, rosemary and sweet potatoes. Then it gets topped with tater tots as latke stand-ins and apple cranberry sauce. The whole thing rests in a King's Hawaiian bun, to add some sweet confusion to the mix.
These dogs will be available on November 22nd at all three California locations. How much money will this cross-cultural treat set you back? The Thanksgivukkah Dog costs $6.99, or around the price of a few cans of fried onions.
