This Powder Turns Cup Noodles Into a Peppery Treat

We've all been there. Stuck in an empty apartment for weeks on end with nothing to do but stare at the walls and nothing to eat but bag upon bag of ramen noodles. The taste of those boring, repetitive noodles haunts us to this day. The horror. The chicken-flavored horror. If only we had access to Japan's newest creation: magic powder to make your noodles yummy.

Japanese seasoning stalwarts  Ajjigen have just released their -- and this is the real name -- “Cup Ramen Becomes Delicious — The Magic Powder." According to legend, or their press release, the president of the company came up with the recipe after being separated from his wife and having nothing to eat for weeks but ramen. It comes in two flavors, black pepper or red pepper.

If you are curious, you'll be able to pick up a pack of 20 for five bucks on import sites later in the year.
