This Adorable Cafe Will Make You Want to Travel to Japan

The problem with modern day eateries is they lack a certain dedication to cuteness. Sure, they love old wood and nautically-themed decorations and stuff but where are the kitties? Where are the charming cartoon characters and themed meals? One pop-up cafe in the Shibuya district of Tokyo has all of that and more.

The Kiki & Lala Cafe has been warming hearts all over Tokyo since it opened a few weeks ago. If you are a fan of Hello Kitty and Sanrio characters, you'll be right at home here. To say they gave their all, atmosphere wise, would be a severe understatement. Nearly every inch of this cafe is covered in Sanrio characters and the food is no exception. They serve lattes with cartoon latte art, tiny burgers shaped like stars, desserts that look like actual rainbows and, of course, dyed pink and blue spaghetti. It's enough to make you go "awww!"

If you are in the area and want to visit, be prepared for a long wait. This place is a bona fide sensation, with wait times stretching into the hours.
