Honoring Great Taste(makers)

By: Michelle Buffardi

It's award season. The Oscars are coming up, the Emmys, the Academy Awards, Grammys, Golden Globes, Tonys . . . the list of award shows honoring the best movies, shows, actors and musicians is seemingly endless. But what about the best food people of the year? Your favorite TV and internet stars will hit the red carpet this year, too, at an awards show just for tastemakers -- food and fashion, that is.

You can get the full list of nominees and presenters on Tasty's website, but some Cooking Channel stars being honored include:

Official Honorees, Breakout Foodies of the Year: Food Jammers

Nominated for Best Drink or Beverage Program, Television: Drink Up With Darryl Robinson

Nominated for Best New Series: FoodCrafters

Nominated for Best Green or Organic Program: Fresh Food Fast with Emeril Lagasse

Nominated for a Viewer's Choice Award, Best Female Host in a Series: Aida Mollenkamp

The awards are happening on January 13, and if you're in LA, tickets are still available so you can attend yourself, and you can check back here for a wrap up of the awards and list of winners. And don't forget to vote for your favorite Cooking Channel and Food Network stars nominated for Peoples' Choice Awards!

Who's your favorite food person of the year?
