The key to kalbi is a good marinade. Soy sauce, garlic and Asian pear tenderize and pack in flavor for juicy grilled meat. Wrap it up with rice and kimchi in lettuce leaves for a traditional Korean bite.

Coffee grounds aren’t just for a morning cup of joe. Mix a packet of instant coffee with oyster sauce and a chile to make a unique sauce for crisp Singaporean fried ribs.

Combine ketchup, honey and soy sauce for the perfect blend of sweet and savory. Serve with a tangy lemon-and-honey slaw for a refreshing contrast to the spicy dish.
