Change up your grilling routine by trading barbecue sauce for soy sauce with these four flavorful Asian-inspired ribs recipes. Double up on Korean marinades, and make your own kimchi with Tyler Florence’s Bulgoki (pictured above), or spice things up with more ideas below.

The key to kalbi is a good marinade. Soy sauce, garlic and Asian pear tenderize and pack in flavor for juicy grilled meat. Wrap it up with rice and kimchi in lettuce leaves for a traditional Korean bite.

Coffee grounds aren’t just for a morning cup of joe. Mix a packet of instant coffee with oyster sauce and a chile to make a unique sauce for crisp Singaporean fried ribs.

Combine ketchup, honey and soy sauce for the perfect blend of sweet and savory. Serve with a tangy lemon-and-honey slaw for a refreshing contrast to the spicy dish.
