2 whole cloves

2 green cardamom pods

1 black cardamom pods

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons black tea leaves

4 cups water

3/4 cup milk


  1. Put the cloves, green cardamom pods, black cardamom pods, ginger, sugar, black tea, and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour in the milk and bring to a boil again. Strain the liquid into teacups.
