1 quart mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries)

1/2 cup sugar 

2 tablespoons lemon juice 


  1. Combine the berries, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat and mash until the berries are almost pureed. Cook until the mixture becomes thick and syrupy, about 10 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
