1/4 ounce simple syrup

4 raspberries 

3/4 ounce best-quality gin 

1/3 ounce fresh lemon juice 

2 dashes rose water 

3 ounces very cold California sparkling rose 


  1. Put the simple syrup and raspberries in a cocktail shaker and muddle lightly. Add the gin, lemon juice, rose water and some ice and shake for a few seconds. Strain into a champagne flute and fill to the top with sparkling rose.
