6 ripe blackberries

1 tablespoon dark brown sugar 

2 1/2 ounces gin, such as Hendrick's 

1 ounce elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germaine 

1 ounce maraschino liqueur, such as Luxardo 


  1. Place the blackberries in sturdy glass, and use a muddler to mash the berries to release the juices. Add the sugar, gin, elderflower liqueur, maraschino liqueur and some crushed ice.
  2. Shake vigorously, strain into a glass and serve.
