Classic Green Juice with a Meyer Lemon Twist

10 ounces curly kale

2 stalks celery

2 small pears

1 to 2 cucumbers

One 1-inch piece gingerroot

1 Meyer lemon or 1/2 regular lemon


  1. Wash and roughly chop the kale, celery, pears, 1 cucumber, the ginger and lemon. Juice according to your juicer's instructions. If you prefer a milder flavor, add another cucumber. Best served cold.

Cook’s Note

To double the volume of your juice and give it an extra hydrating boost, stir in a cup of plain coconut water after juicing.
