Ingredients

Sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon Frickaccio's Italian seasoning or your favorite
  • 1 teaspoon oregano 
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • One 28-ounce can tomato sauce 
Pizza Bagel:
  • 1 Frickaccio's pizzagel or you favorite light, fluffy plain bagel, halved
  • 1 chicken breast, pounded thin, cooked and seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 chicken breast, pounded thin, cooked and seasoned with salt and pepper 
  • 3 slices roma tomato 
  • 3 slices fresh mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise 
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 fresh basil leaves, for garnishing 

Directions

For the sauce: Add the Italian seasoning, dried oregano and salt directly to the can of tomato sauce and mix to combine.

For the pizza bagel: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Spread some sauce on each half of the bagel.

Layer the bagel with the chicken, tomato slices and mozzarella and bake on a baking sheet until the cheese melts, about 3 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix together the mayonnaise and garlic in a small bowl. When the pizza bagel is out of the oven, garnish it with the basil and a swipe of the garlic mayonnaise mixture.
