  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Toss the butternut squash, melted butter and maple sugar together in a large bowl to combine. Spoon the mixture into an 8-quart pot or Dutch oven. Cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for 1 hour, or until the squash is tender. Serve on a warmed plater.
