2 medium tomatoes, diced

1 serrano chile, finely diced 

1 small yellow onion, diced 

4 ounces chopped fresh cilantro, thick stems removed 

4 haas avocados, pitted


1/2 key lime, juiced

Tortilla chips, for serving


  1. Combine the tomatoes, chiles, onions and cilantro into a medium bowl. Add the avocados and mash gently with a fork or potato masher.
  2. Add salt to taste and squeeze in the lime juice to finish. Serve with tortilla chips.
