2/3 cup heavy cream

1 cup 55- to 60-percent chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar 

3 cups whole milk, plus more if needed 


  1. In a small saucepan, bring the cream to a boil, and then pour it over the chocolate. Whisk well until the chocolate melts.
  2. Return the ganache to a saucepan and heat with 1 cup of the whole milk. Add more milk to taste, up to 3 cups (or more for small children).
