Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 32 ounces your favorite brand premade biscuit dough (2 tubes)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 banana, sliced

Directions

Special equipment: Mini loaf pan

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the sugar and cinnamon. Cut the unbaked biscuits in half, and then toss in the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Arrange the biscuit pieces evenly in 2 layers in the mini loaf pan. Heat the brown sugar and butter slowly in a small saucepan until the butter is thoroughly melted, and then pour enough over the biscuits to cover the dough. Bake until cooked through, about 14 minutes.

Let cool slightly in the pan before inverting onto a platter to release the muffins. Garnish with the remaining butter and brown sugar mixture and the sliced bananas.

Cook's Note

If you care to upgrade the dish at all, include a scoop of vanilla ice cream or an airline bottle-size amount of your favorite bourbon (we suggest Maker's Mark).
