Meyer's Skillet Queso

1 pound smoked sausage

1 cup milk 

32 ounces processed cheese loaf, such as Velveeta, cut into 1-inch cubes 

8 ounces cream cheese 

One 10-ounce can cream of mushroom soup 

One-10-ounce can diced tomatoes and green chiles, such as Ro-Tel Original 

Tortilla chips, for serving


  1. Cut the sausage links in half lengthwise and slice into 1/4-inch pieces. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, 8 to 10 minutes, stirring every 1 to 2 minutes. Drain any grease from the skillet.
  2. Add the processed cheese, cream cheese, soup and diced tomatoes to the skillet and cook on low heat, stirring often, until all the cheese melts. Serve warm with tortilla chips
