Onion Rings

2 cups milk

2 cups all-purpose flour

Salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 jumbo yellow onions, peeled and thinly sliced


  1. Preheat the deep fryer to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the milk with 1 cup water. In another medium bowl, mix together the flour with some salt and pepper. Dip the onion rings in the milk wash and then into the seasoned flour. Sift out the onion rings and then fry them until golden and crispy.
