Pesto Sauce

2 cups tightly packed fresh basil leaves

3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil 

1/4 cup pine nuts 

1 pinch salt 

1 pinch pepper 

3 cloves garlic 

1/2 cup Parmesan 


  1. Place the basil, oil, pine nuts, salt, pepper and garlic into a food processor. Blend on medium until the sauce is fairly smooth. Transfer the basil mixture into a bowl, add the Parmesan and mix well.
