These traditional Basque "lollipops" are full of flavor--strong flavor! The guindilla peppers used here are a Basque variety of pickled pepper that is often served with slices of ham and eaten whole. If you cannot find this kind of pepper, any pickled pepper will do.

Ingredients

  • 15 guindilla peppers or other pickled peppers 
  • 15 anchovies, drained 
  • 15 pitted green olives 

Directions

Special equipment: 15 long toothpicks

Skewer 15 toothpicks with a pepper, an anchovy and an olive. Arrange the assembled toothpicks on a platter.
