Banana Split Sandwich

15 grams/.5 ounces unsalted butter

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch allspice

Pinch ground cloves

Pinch ground nutmeg

1 banana, halved lengthwise

2 slices sourdough bread

2 tablespoons crunchy peanut butter


  1. Melt the butter in medium saute pan over medium heat. Add the cinnamon, allspice, cloves and nutmeg. Add the bananas, cut-side down. Cook for 1 minute; turn, and cook for another minute.
  2. Toast the bread. Spread both slices with the peanut butter. Top one slice with the bananas. Place the lid on, slice in half and eat.
