Ingredients

  • Two 1 1/2-inch-thick T-bone steaks (about 3 pounds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • Himalayan salt and freshly-ground black pepper

Directions

Preheat the broiler on high, with an oven rack 6 inches from the heating element.

Sprinkle the steaks with the red pepper flakes, seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.

Broil the steaks for about 5 minutes per side for rare or 7 minutes per side for medium; check every few minutes to make sure the broiler is not burning the steaks.

Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
