50 grams (about 1.7 ounces) Scotch whiskey, such as Johnnie Walker Black

30 grams (about 1 ounce) sweet red vermouth

20 grams (.7 ounce) elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain

20 drops bitters, such as homemade or Angostura  

1 candied cherry in syrup, such as Amarena Fabbri


  1. Fill a 28-ounce metal cocktail shaker with ice. In order, pour in the Scotch, vermouth, liqueur and bitters. Stir, strain into a 6-ounce cocktail glass and garnish with the cherry.
