1 package active dry yeast

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon sugar

1 cup warm water

2 eggs

1 1/4 cups flour

1 1/2 cups corn oil

Confectioners' sugar, for dusting

  2. Heat the oil in a 6-inch shallow fry pan with 1-inch sides to 375 degrees F.
  3. Drop level tablespoons of dough into the oil, cooking 4 at a time. Fry each side until golden brown, about 2 minutes.
